RE: OT - V Cheap Kodak Camera misprice from DVD Forums

Yep, agreed !

I even missed out on a pricing error for some lexmark printers – should be £235, my friends got them for £35 !!! – and that’s with having friends who work for them !

Heck, I knew I shouldn’t have left my job at insight …

I have two very good friends that work for insight, and I can speak to them in confidence, so, I called him up and asked him, he said that there is a chance they will be shipped … it’s a 50-50 thing tho, but he’s trying to get a few (with him being staff and all..)

Trouble is though that if it has been on the DVD Forums as well as here then you are looking at orders for one product that is way above the norm, since the site does state that they are “to order”. Someone is going to clock the high order and query it I would imagine due to the high value and/or the unusual activity on their Kodak account. I doubt very much indeed that you will ever see them added to which is the T&C which allows Insight a get out even *after* the order has been delivered the way I read it!

From Insight T&C:

Insight makes every effort to ensure that all prices and descriptions quoted in its catalogue and on its website are correct and accurate. However, the frenetic tempo of e-commerce makes it inevitable that mistakes will occasionally occur. In the case of a manifest error or omission, Insight will be entitled to rescind the contract, notwithstanding that it has already accepted the Customer's order and/or received payment from the Customer. Insight's liability in that event will be limited to the return of any money the Customer has paid in respect of the order. In the case of a manifest error in relation to price, the Customer will be entitled to purchase the goods by paying the difference between the quoted price and the correct price, as confirmed in writing by Insight after the manifest error has been discovered.

As one of my favoured expressions goes **DANGER WILL ROBINSON!!**
