RE: Help ! RGB Scart Switcher

Marcus,

I would have thought you would plug your Digi box and VCR into TiVo, and let
Tivo control the digi box only - through away your sky remote, don't include
the on-digital box in the tivo set up.

Plug your on-digital box in to the VCR and then using the VCR pass through
button on the remote you can watch on digital whilst TiVo is recording.

That way you are only using one scart on your TV.

Should work (I think)

Having just had SKY installed yesterday and a TiVo delivered last Friday
I've been trying to hook it all together (including a OnDigital Nokia box
being used for FTA stuff). Problem is that I want to output RGB from all the
devices for best quality. Why is this a problem ?... because ;

1) The TV (Schneider 32" Widescreen) only seems to support RGB input on
Scart AV1.
2) All three devices give out RGB so only AV1 is useable (although the VCR
can still use AV2).
3) When the TV receives RGB on AV1 non of the other AV's or channels work..
they simply display a weird mess. If I switch to composite then its fine.
4) As soon as the TiVo starts up (i.e. starts recording) it starts sending
an RGB signal and the TV is no longer useable.. i.e. we can't watch
terrestrial channels at the same time as the TiVo is recording SKY.

The only option I can see is to have a 3 way SCART switcher that connects
all 3 devices to the single AV1 socket.. ideally one that can be remote
controlled. Does anyone know of a switcher that supports more than one RGB
device, can be controlled by remote and supports Widescreen signalling.

Does anyone else have both Sky and OnDigtal boxes with they're TiVo ?

Marcus

P.S. Thanx for all the help people gave on locating 19" rack strips and ADSL
Routers.. we've had an email outage at work so this is the first time I've
had a chance to get back on list. Apparently the exchange in Manchester that
our leased lines connect had a fire!
