After looking at CRTs with >1000 hours use and new tube/s being fitted I=
was put right off it! I think more of a certain "Press Now For
Interactive" red <insert expletive> dot on the screen! Gameplay = *should*
only cause burn-in if you can't tear yourself away from GTA 3 or
whatever and you play it for hours at a stretch.

Yup, some of them are bad I agree, but then as I am fond of reminding
people you should stay a reasonable distance away from them! ;)

I keep hearing about this "chicken wire" thing and I didn't notic= e it at
all on the MT1 or now on the Panasonic. However I suppose if you were
looking for it to criticise then you would find it.

Na, no argument really, CRT is quieter and does give a better picture,
life I would argue now! The Panasonic I have can give up to 4000 hours
of life before it needs a replacement bulb for =A3200! Now, in comparison CRT has a finite life and is basically scrap due to the high cost of
tubes to replace after what, 10,000 hours, if you're lucky and don't
abuse it?

For the most part I agree, you get what you pay for and what you're
prepared to make compromises on.
