Yes they are terrific.
Range seems fine - but I have no idea what the maximum length is. Try
looking out the spec for the Dallas one-wire temperature sensors they
use - this might give you an idea. Certainly I have no problem over
10's of metres using ordinary alarm cable.
No idea what min and max temps are - again the Dallas spec sheets
will tell you the exact answer - certainly adequate for normal
domestic use.
