Probably LESS of a hazard than NON-automated lighting.
Assuming that the lights are controlled by LD10's or Lamp Modules then
ALL
switching of mains it totally solid state with no possibility of a
spark,
unlike a conventional lightswitch where turning lights on and off can
generate quite substantial sparks.
Of course, lights and appliances controlled by Relay based switching such
as
an AD10 or Appliance module have the same risk as a conventional
switch.

Subject: [ukha_d] automated lights - and gas leaks...
I came home a couple of nights ago and half of the residents of the
street
were standing outside their houses complaining of a gas leak.
that got me thinking - automated lighting is a potential hazard in
these
situations. I know it will probably 'never happen' - but does anyone know
of
a detector that can pick up natural gas , or even better one that will
do
carbon monoxide and natural gas in a combined unit?
that way I can program comfort to disable the lighting in this
situation..
