RE: X10 Keyfob

Tony,

I think the problem is the AudioTron and the TiVo you have. It's a reported problem that having either of these in the house, even not switched on, can cause your X10 to fail.

The only solution is to store them offsite for a few year^H^H^H^H weeks and see if the problem disappears. I can help you with this, by offering some storage facilities.

Regards,

Mark

Does anyone actually use these?
If so, how can I tell if the batteries are dying?
I butchered one to use as a wireless doorbell, but it's been acting up
lately, not always ringing the chime.

I've had it about 6 months and it'd been fairly okay in that time.
Now I could just buy new batteries, but that would be a waste if it
doesn't solve the problem.
Maybe it's the TM13U I started using relatively recently?
Maybe there is some noise on the line because of something I've plugged
in?

Thoughts?

T.
