What's an X-10 transmitter? Will a CM12 do the job?

When the Socket Rocket receives the same code for the third time it turns on to let you know that it has "learned" the code.

To "teach" the Socket Rocket a new code, you just remove the power, reapply it, and then send it the new code three times.  The next Socket Rocket you install will not override the last one due to the 30 second time-to-program feature.
