RE: IR Distribution - Problem?

That is my plan also, for the reasons you state:

Sky in N0, Tivo in lounge, feeds back and forth via KAT 5.
TiVo output only will feed to other rooms.
However, I have just realised a _minor_ problem
I wil not be able to control TiVo from any other room, though I can control
SKY from other rooms :-(

Originally I had everything in N0, but TiVo was unhappy with IR over
powermid signals.
Moved TiVo to lounge, but TiVo didn't like sending SKY IR over powermid.
Extended TiVo IR out over CAT5 so effectively have hardwired control of Sky
only.
Can also control SKY over powermid if required  (powermid used to control AV
amp etc in Node 0).

So now I can watch Tivo anywhere but not control it - If I put a powermid
xmitter next to TiVo, I get the same problems I had originally:(
If I just put sky in other rooms then it could muck up tivo recordings.
Am sooooo close to everything working that I don't want to scrap it and
invest loads in Xantech :(
Could always use tivoweb and control tivo from fuji or ipaq I guess :)

T.
