RE: IR Distribution - Problem?

Mark

I have been thinking about this one and I would just make it so that the
DigiBox and TiVo can only accept IR from the Xantech emitters and not
>from through a single point, allowing you to monitor the status at a later
date. (ie you could tell if TiVo has been turned on in the last 15 min).

Regards

Ben

James and I have started the IR distribution through the house.  The
amplified block will live in N0. It will be fed from Rx in several rooms
and it will send its output to the AV room (TiVo and DigiBox).

Now - if I have Rx in the AV Room as well (so I can send IR to HV in N0)
I assume a "normal" message to DigiBox will get there straight from the
remote, then get there a 2nd time thru the Xantech setup?

If this is the case - is the best cure to simply make the DigiBox abd
TiVo unable to receive and direct IR by taping over the mini-emmitters?

Anyone do this or solved this problem any other way?

Thanks

M.
