I meant to add this on at the bottom, Our Security department here also uses
a few of these devices

Dedicated Micros Digital Sprite

This allows you to record from up to 16 standard camera. Basically a DVR for
CCTV
They also have a smaller 4 port version as well.

Bear in mind tho, both the Axis and the Dedicated Micros equiment is not
*cheap*, but I could recommend either as an excellent solution.
