Re: Re: now laptop homebrew

All my MP3s / WMAs are stored on my server (Windows NT 4), and I use Window= s
Media Services for mms streaming.  For the front end I use an ASP web = script
called Andromeda (from http://www.tur= nstyle.com) which also runs on the
server.  It's then a simple matter of pulling up a browser on any clie= nt on
my lan and pointing it to the server, selecting what I want to listen to an= d
clicking play.  The client end software is pretty irrelevant - the lap= top is
running Windows 98, and I use Media Player for playback, but it could be just about anything that can offer a web browser, and mp3 / wma playback. Sound quality is excellent, although I had to buy a USB to Optical lead to<= BR> get a decent output from the laptop as it only had a headphone socket and n= o
line out.
