No, it appears that the firmware upgrade process rewrites itself on flash
memory and the bootstrap loader is not intelligent enough to distinguish a
good firmware from a bad one. So if the process is interrupted for
whatever reasons, the firmware will be corrupted and thus unable to power
up next time.

There are also warnings in the AudioTron user manual and on the built-in
webserver about not interrupting the flash upgrade process until it is
completed.

The dead AudioTron was upgraded using a wired LAN connection.
