We have an Argent Office PABX system though without DECT handsets (we 
looked at installing DECT but it would have doubled the cost of the 
system).  Although the PABX does hold a central directory of names and
numbers I don't think that you will have access to it via DECT.  We
can 
only access it via PC-based software using the TAPI interface.  I
guess 
a PDA with WiFi and a built-in DECT handset might work if you have 
mega-bucks to spend.

It does make a good ISDN router with a reasonable firewall (as PART of 
other security measures).  We have also found it to be a versatile
PABX. 
Complex, yes, but the programming software is pretty intuitive and we 
have been able to do all our configuration work without having to get 
outside help.  We initially ran it for about 6 months without a 
timeserver and had no problems.  We now also have a voicemail server
(the software is Windows only) and this doubles as a timeserver.  I've
not tried pointing it at a Linux timeserver though.  The only problem
we 
have experienced is that the voicemail software sometimes forgets to 
update the displays on the PC clients when a message has been deleted.
