I see a trend developing here !

OK cast my mind back a couple of years (I wish only a couple !!)

Various ways to do sound to light -

Filter the music to base / mid / treble. Each time a set level is reached
per channel fire either R, G or B.

or

A three or four channel sequencer whose switching speed changes somehow
with
the music.

I know there are some ex disco DJ's on the list so maybe a little i/p on
what might be the standard approach to this ?
