A few weeks ago there was a small discussion on auto filling a bath...

I just found what I believe to the ideal solution.. bath overfill filler
kits. The great thing with these is that the taps are by its very nature
completely separate from the filler/spout. This means that I can 'T' into
the supply pipes before the taps and provide an alternative route to the
same filler/spout controlled via a relay (like Ian Birds irrigation
project). This way I can have full manual control via the tap(s) and
also full auto control without the need for a separate spout !

I just ordered the complete new bathroom suit complete with overflow filler
kit from Vernon Tutbuty (model = Excel) with has got to be one of the
coolest
taps around.. like a mini joystick. (we've gone for the beech handle)

Don't know if SWMBO will ever let me make it auto filling but at least I
now have the option :)

Just need to figure out a way of controlling the pop-up waste..
i.e. Open water for 10 minutes (in case bath full)
     Shut waste
turn on taps for 15 minutes (to fill bath)

I would probably do the filling via simple timer device at the actual
bath end, so I don't have to send a stop message...just in case it never
makes it!)
