RE: SKY box - grr!

Are you sure it turns the RGB signals OFF ?

The Composite is always present as they actually send Composite Video
instead of Composite Sync.

What it could be doing is dropping the RGB signal on Pin 16 because many
TV's will route RGB signals direct to the tube whenever Pin16 is high even
though Pin8 is low.

I had one TV that superimposed RGB over the picture whenever pin 16 was left
high and my current set will overlay the RGB input onto teletext if pin 16
is left high.

If you can manually force your TV into RGB mode try that to see if RGB is
still actually present.

No, actually it is a right pain in the arse if you need to use the TV
functions on the Sky remote, and keep the SCART connected, as it turns
the RGB output off and turns the composite output on. It has never
really bothered me as I have always used a Pronto with Sky digital...

So there's your answer. Buy a *good* universal remote.

Tim.
