Mate of mine has a Panny projector. He built up a MDF (6mm) sheet big
enough for the screen, and mounted it on the wall. The , painted it with
Dulux IceStorm 5 - it's greyish, but helps the LCD projector with it's
contrast - it's truly amazing how good it is with this paint.

Lots of people will probably say that you shouldn't even consider a
wall.
But I've been using one for 3 years now. I painted it myself and used
a
sander on it so it's nice and smooth. True, a proper screen would
probably
be better. But the wall is just fine. (using cheapo CRT projector
-
projecting 7 foot wide image)
