The one thing that sells Sky+ over Tivo for me is the sheer difference in
<=
BR>
speed in accessing my programs. The Tivo is nice, but just so
cumbersome.
G.
I'm even getting tempted and I already have Sky Plus... Not sure how
much
I'd benefit though?
Just been down this route myself and eventually decided on TiVo rather
than
Sky+ because of the following TiVo benefits ;
Records things I "might" like not just what I tell it.
TV guides cover more than just next week.
=A3200 "lifetime" sub option
Plenty of info available on adding larger hard discs
Sky's major advantage is that it doesn't re-encode the stream but saves
the
already encoded stream so higher quality. The dual receivers also mean
that you can watch SKY live while the "Plus" is recording, but I
=
suspect
like
others have said that I will simply never watch "Live" TV, only
t=
hings its
recorded.
Does the Tivo work with a Sky Plus box to change channels?
I believe so.
Does it tend to switch channels while you are watching things?
Probably..
What is the
largest hard disk that you can fit into a Tivo?
