I have the loan of an IR remote for a piece of AV kit that I have ( I
lost my remote ). It is a complex remote with multifunction buttons.
I need to give the remote back soon and I want to store the IR buttons
in a place that is the most flexible for me to utilise them later. What is
the best (cleanest) way of doing this and in a way that might allow me to
use the codes in other applications later ? Do these codes become
transportable in this way or remain bespoke to the recording application ?

I have the following options - no doubt the best would be some PC add on
IR receiver...

    Pronto - One for All - HomeVision - Leopard - Comfort - Slink-E -

At the moment I am probably going to go the HomeVision and Pronto route.

    Kevin
