Re: OT: (Sorry) Exchange Server

Hi,

You can use the Mailbox Merge tool (Exmerge.exe) to extract data from
mailboxes on a Microsoft Exchange Server computer and then merge this data
into the same mailboxes on another Microsoft Exchange Server computer. The
program copies data from the source server into personal folders (.pst
files), merges the data into the personal folders, and then merges the data
into the mailboxes on the destination server.

The program has two modes of operation: One Step and Two Step. In One Step
mode, the program copies data from the source mailbox to a .pst file and
then merges the data in the .pst file into the same mailbox on the
destination server. In this case, the mailbox on the destination server must
have the same mailbox name and the same container path. The distinguished
name (DN) of the mailbox on the destination server is obtained by replacing
the organization and site names in the distinguished name of the mailbox on
the source server with the organization and sites names of the destination
server.

In Two Step mode, you can configure the program to only copy data to .pst
files or merge data from .pst files into a server. The user must be logged
in to Windows NT Server using the Microsoft Exchange Server service account.
If this is not possible, then the current Windows NT user account must have
permissions on all the mailboxes that are being merged.

The program creates a log file (Exmerge.log) that contains any errors that
occur during operation. Exmerge.exe supports the -logmin, -logmed, -logmax
command line options, which can be used to control the amount of information
logged in the Exmerge.log file.

This program merges user folders and messages, Outlook calendars and
contacts. It does not support inbox rules, forms, or Microsoft Schedule+
data.

  Hi All

This ones really bugging me and my IT guy here never seems to sus it, so
I thought I would ask a friendly and knowledgable crowd.

I'm moving offices (Again!) and want to take my Outlook data with me.
  Here's the scenario:

Office 1: Outlook client. Win 2k SBS. (i.e Exchange 2000)
Office 2: Outlook client. Win 2k SBS. (i.e Exchange 2000)

Offices run on separate networks, different email, domains etc. Not
linked in any way shape or form.

I want to back up all my contacts, various inboxes, sent items,
calendars etc and take them to my new office.
Is there one simple easy way to do this because we seem to make a pigs
  ear of it every time.

  Many Thanks
  Rob
