I don't think there is any question that its performing a valuable
function (even if I have only subscribed today), I think the question
is
are there too many groups, I am subscribed to most of them. I have to
put my hand up and admit I created the first (now defunct) spin off
habuy, but that was for a special purpose and because it was not linked
to yahoo it did come in handy when yahoo was down.
We cannot turn the clock back now, I would just re-iterate lets not
create any more if we can help it, and when a list becomes dried up,
which lets face it, happens then close them.
The only other way I can see that we could manage it is to insist that
key words are used in posts, this way the Outlook users can use rules,
but I can see the comments back when one tries to "remind"
someone to
put a keyword in the posts.
