Discrete Power commands, yes.
 
However, there are other "binary state" commands that AREN'T typically available as discrete commands. The one that I _regularly_ want, and can't have is discrete "random / non-randm", particularly on my MP3 players.
 
In that case, the lack of feedback makes an automated system impossible - I _need_ to know the state of the "random" toggle in order to do certain things.
 
This isn't a dig at your application - rather at equipment manufacturers who haven't thought through the full command sets that might be required - too many manufacturers assume that their equipment will ONLY be used with their handset, but a user who works through THEIR command sequence.
