Re: IR Repeater Thru Mains - was - New site for Infrared Remote Manager

Yes, it is a lot more reliable as the RF solution and it can be very easily integrated with my application. It then act as both receiver and transceiver PC interface. You can use the Transceiver to learn IR commands
For the interested people I can send the schematic to interconnect the Alcad ( or maybe others) transceiver with the PC. You have only to put one receiver in each room (they have an integrated IR LED in the case and one extender LED if the power socket is in the back of something) and this is all.

Some IR receivers acting as the X10 equivalents will be posted on my site in the near future (home made). You will be able then to command Home Appliances using IR commands.
This is what I intend to do... base all my home devices on infrared, not X10.

Interesting....here's the URL for that product

Never seen an "IR thru Mains" repeater like this.  It's bound to be more reliable that the IR-RF-IR ones I've used.

Anyone know if these are available in the UK?

Thanks
