That applies if you have Digital Rights Management turned on and is designed
to protect copyright material - eg, you can download a DRM version of Peter
Gabriel's new album which expires in a couple of weeks.
Where you are creating your WMA's from your own CD collection and you do NOT
turn on DRM, then there is no reason you can't play the music on any
supported device.
The problem is that DRM is usually turned ON by default, so your first
experience of it is when you rip 300-odd albums to your PC and then try to
play them across the network on another machine.
Of course, it refuses because of DRM and thus your view of Media Player is
forever tainted......
