I also learnt recently that objections from direct neighbours are not
counted in the final planning meeting, as the neighbour could either
be a) doing a favour or b) causing trouble. Therefore any objection
you put in must be something that the planning controller can
investigate with actual consequences, else it will be ignored.
Strange, interesting, but makes sense.
