RE: Waaayyyyy OT: Planning permission

I figured that :(

Planners
Yes, though there are none where both adjacent houses have been done.
Not
that this is going to make any difference really.

By that reasoning then, they would prefer not to grant permission if
he's
going to convert the garage to a room.

Driveways along our road are long enough, though they do slope down.
Garages are all 50's ones - ie too narrow to comfortably take a car
_and_
let you get in/out of it.
Net result: Pertty much everyone along our road (apart from me) parks
on
the road :-(
Okay, I'm not doing the hand brake on the car a great deal of good, but
there's a reason we all have long driveways, and it's a nightmare
navigating
the road with so many bloody parked cars :-(

Would suit me.

I know I can't say for sure, I was just kinda looking for an opinion -
would
_you_ be put off a 'semi' because the only thing separating it from being
a
terraced house is 6" of space? I think I would be.
(Leave aside for now whether you would want a semi at all - we all want
self
builds in the middle of nowhere, fully automated & with a T1
internet
connection!)
cheers,
Tony
