Don't believe it. DECT may be a standard for the basic functions,
but many manufacturers add extra features on top. I have 2 old
Philips DECT handsets I use with my newer Siemens DECT
base station. Apart from many missing features the handsets
are very unreliable. The phones will ring, I will answer from
an old phone, which promptly goes dead while the remaining
phones keep ringing - so much for standards.
