Homeseer is a more developed product at the moment.
Autom8it is being actively developed much more.
Autom8it is currently free (but may introduce a charge at some point.)
Homeseer definitely costs money.
Autom8it is likely to support xAP first.

I thought maybe changing the switch of delay to a longer time might
bypass
that problem. Saying that I suppose if I set it for too long the person
will
leave the room and the system will still think they are in there :(
Unless I could also have the option of manually informing the system where
I
was in the house if I started having that problem?
What's a VOIM ?
I've downloaded the demo's of Autom8it and Homeseer so I will give both
of
them a try at the weekend. Any plus/negative points to look out for
when
comparing the two?

David,
Firstly, MS13 modules are not really (in my experience) that great at
occupancy detection. They are great for detecting movement but if
(say) you
are sitting watching TV, using a MS13 the system may think you are not
in
the room due to NOT detecting any movement.
The switching sounds like a good idea, maybe using a VOIM?? (Over to
Paul
"VOIM Expert" Gordon)
Before buying Homeseer, check out Autom8it (www.autom8it.com) as a more
flexible and cheaper alternative (IMHO)
