I completely disagree with your "poorly" description. Yahoo
has blips,

any other internet service. However, in the main it is excellent.

Basic mailing list functions - (currently 760 members)
Web Interface for posting/reading
Allow multiple moderators
Allow the group or individuals to be moderated
Allow messages to be approved by email or web
Web Interface for handling/reinstating bouncing members
Ability to change account status from email to web only etc
Ability to handle multiple posting email address
Ability to signup members directly
Ability to have members join thru web forms
Polls Area
Files Area
Photos Area
Have an uptime greater than or equal to Yahoo over last four years
etc
etc
etc

This depends on how much it would cost. Also people are questioning
ads
on
the list - how would they react to a retailer sponsoring it.
In my talks with retailers I get the impression the people here acount
for
only a very small part of their turnover, so they may not be interested
even.
Again - please email replies OFF LIST. If I have anything that fits
the
bill I will bring it back to the group.
