I figured out how to set it up. It might be useful for Mark to store
these
instructions, because there are other people struggling with it, and
yahoo
help is useless (according to them, it's not possible). So, everyone
can
send from both work and home address despite what's yahoo saying.
Maybe Mark can post these instructions somewhere...
1. Join the group.
2. Go into My Groups (It's in a Start a Group - My Groups - Account Info
-
Sign Out menu)
3. Go into "E-mail preferences"
4. Add all the e-mail addresses you plan to use.
5. You'll have to verify each address, so just follow instructions on
the
screen. You can verify them later, but you won't be able to use them
until
they are verified.
6. Go to Account Info (It's in a Start a Group - My Groups - Account Info
-
Sign Out menu)
7. Click on "Edit" button for the "Member Information"
section.
8. Under E-mail information, there should be listed all your registered
e-mails. Select Primary E-mail address and click on Finish.
9. Screen will refresh and (primary) in bold should be next your
primary
e-mail address. Remember which one you set up as a primary, that's
important.
10. Now go back to My Groups, into "E-mail preferences".
11. You'll have the list of all registered e-mail addresses. In the
rightmost column there is a link "Options" for each e-mail
address.
12. Click on the link "Options" for your PRIMARY e-mail address,
which you
selected under step 8. It's important to click that one because Yahoo
keeps
separate settings for each e-mail address.
13. Now go into alternate posting addresses and put all the alternate
addresses you plan to use for sending mails from.
14. Click on Save Changes
15. It's finished! Now you should be able to send mails from different
addresses.
Please note that if you change your Primary E-mail address, you won't
be
able to send from any other adress until you set up alternate addresses
for
that E-mail address.
It's still unclear to me what's the function of Primary e-mail address.
Cheers,
Nik

That's not the same thing Nik = you _should_ be able to send from
multiple
addresses, as set up in your yahoo alternate posting addresses
thing.
If you want to do what you propose, you need to set up another
email
account
in outlook.
