Re: OT: Home Cinema Pics Online

Hi Paul,

My spacewalker was one of the first SV24s which had a PSU fan, Chip Fan, and rear fan.  Even after replacing all of these with quiet papst fans it still was too noisy.  Of course this was all before the Eden boards came out so that sort of nullifies that problem with the fanless versions.  That's why I'll probably upgrade my lounge PC to something quieter when I get some spare cash.

So to answer your question - no its not the same :)  I believe Shuttle have released a number of revisions since then.

Regards,
-Dan

  Hi Dan,

I was interested in your shuttle or spacewalker PC - you say it makes
quite a bit of noise. Is this the same enclosure as recently posted (the
rebadged Creative Labs SLiX)? One of their main marketing points is that
it's ultra-quiet. I guess it depends also which HDD is fitted and
whether there's a fan on the graphics card as well.

  Paul.
