Hi Phil

>>
I don't want people to think this is the only reason I'm here since I did
mention this in my introduction last week. But if you have a spare PC you
can turn into a
Linux box you could do worse than trying ZoneMinder (
http://www.zoneminder.com )
which  I wrote originally for myself for precisely this kind of thing after
my garage was burgled.
<<

I did see your message last week and looked at your website. Very
impressive! However, I don't have a spare PC (have three PCs: Windows 2000
Server, Windows 2000 Professional and laptop with Win98). These are running
constantly, so I don't think I'd like to have another one running <g>.

>>I got them from MASS CCTV (http://www.masscctv.co.uk) which has
a fairly comprehensive line-up and they are helpful, if you ignore their
truly dreadful website (which they think is brilliant!).
<<

I agree; it is truly dreadful and it is sad that they think it is
acceptable, let alone brilliant. Built in Fireworks and Dreamweaver, using
DW's layers, the text is all over the place <sigh>.

>>I would get their downloadable prices and documents
though as there's not much info on the site itself..
<<

Hmm, this is what I get:

>>The requested URL /cgi-bin/FormMail.pl was not found on this server.<<

Ho-hum. Do you have a copy you could email over? If so: andrew (at)
metasolutions dot co dot uk

>>The other thing you'll need of course if a video capture card but for one
input you could get away with a WinTV type card.
<<

*If* I go down this route, I would want to capture a minimum of two, maybe
more at a later date. As I say, your software is exceedingly impressive and
if I do manage to get hold of a cheap PC, I'll be back to you. Logged your
website <g>.

Cheers

Andrew Stanley
