Hmm. So if I dont mount them in the PIRs, then I have to mount them
somehow.
How have you guys got them setup ? Blank 1gang plates ? Other solutions
?

Yes, LA and, I think, Laser both carry stocks.

Yes, I have for several runs.

Never tried it and TBH, I don't think I would, see below and Rob's post

Because these things are *seriously* sensitive I wouldn't. I did have a
Dallas stat on the same CAT5 run as an RX unit and I got hell's teeth
trouble with interference, put the RX unit on its own run and it was
fine. Now whether that was an isolated case or not, I honestly don't
know but the only way to find out is to try a dry run, without drilling
holes and see what happens. Obviously having a cunning "Plan B"
ready to
go as well! ;)
