Hi just as an update
I have found a newly released Xantech receiver that is plasma friendly,
but its serious money! (=A3300!)
http://www.xantech.com= /newprod/49090.htm
There is a useful guide to placement here also:

Many thanks

Yes, LA and, I think, Laser both carry stocks.

Yes, I have for several runs.

Never tried it and TBH, I don't think I would, see below and Rob's post

Because these things are *seriously* sensitive I wouldn't. I did have a
Dallas stat on the same CAT5 run as an RX unit and I got hell's teeth
trouble with interference, put the RX unit on its own run and it was
fine. Now whether that was an isolated case or not, I honestly don't
know but the only way to find out is to try a dry run, without drilling
holes and see what happens. Obviously having a cunning "Plan B" r= eady to
go as well! ;)
