I use a 'BT Easicom TV1' unit, which is a set top box that overlays
caller<=
BR>
id information on the TV, it includes a small memory for phonebook
information so the callers name is displayed on the screen if the entry
exists. There is also a button on the remote control which switches the
picture to composite video and audio input that could be a cam or PC
signal=
.
Letsautomate were doing these for about =A350, but can't find them on the
s=
ite
anymore.
Hope this helps

Speaking of this - does anyone know of a similar priced item for
overlaying=
a generic video signal (i.e. from PC) onto a TV signal? (So I can do
=
this
callerid overlay myself)

lo all!!
Just a quick query to see if anyone has any info on the TV Messenger
advertised at premierdirect.co.uk:-
This little gadget looks cool, I was about to start delving into my
Tivo setup and configuring a modem with CLI etc to do this kind of
thing, but at =A334.95 is look like a bargain!! It even lets you
put 40 index names next to numbers to display on the TV!!
