Re: Tivo Discontinued ? According to Dixons, Comet and Currys

Chris

There is obviously something going on for the box to drop from 400 quid to under 100.  Here's what some people think...

We hope it's a sign there's a new box on the way (bigger Hard drive. Ethernet or USB, Built in digital terrestrial tuner - who knows).  It's got to be worth risking 99 quid on though.  Just don't pay the lifetime sub until we hear what really is happening.

There's a UKHA TiVo group here..

And a good UK board here...

Subject: [ukha_d] Tivo Discontinued ? According to Dixons, Comet and Currys

  Any else heard this?

I have spoken to all three retailers (calling a store or their direct
sales dept.) this morning and all say Tivo is discontinued and they
do not expect more units in stock.

Kind of raises a question as to whether I should be looking for one
  now.....
