My mother just ordered an iPaq from CW for a next day delivery - they
failed and gave some of the same reasons as you got.



Maybe they've cocked up their database?

I ordered an iPaq from Carphone Warehouse on Tuesday night, I got an
email on Wednesday night saying I had cocked up the card details...my
fault.

I phoned on Wednesday night and re-placed the order which was accepted
and I was told CPW would ring me Thursday morning to confirm...they did
not!

I rang them on Thursday afternoon, they had lost the card details....I
passed them over again, they rang me back to confirm all was well and
told me the iPaq was on a pre-1230 delivery Friday.

Got home tonight nothing....rang to complain and they said the iPaq had
not been dispatched!!! they passed me through to order tracking but no
one was available to talk to me!

I rang them again and asked to speak to someone in charge, no way, all
gone home....not a surprise, asked the lad on the phone what is going on
he checked for me and said the iPaq has been dispatched at 1330 today!

It will now be delivered on Monday but I am away which is why I ordered
it on Wednesday to get it ready for the next weeks job.

I know no one is perfect but why can you never speak to people in charge
when this happens? if they would talk it through it would be easier to
accept but you never can.....
