Re: IPAQ QUESTION

Hi,

The main differences between 38xx and 39xx are:
- the 39xx display (trans-reflective one) is a lot better than the 38xx one (which anyhow is a good one).
- the 39xx has an intel X-Scale processor at 400MHz, comparing with the ARM from the 38xx.. Unfortunately, the code is not optimized for the new processor, so the performance is the same or even lower.
- the 39xx has more ROM, so more applications are integrated in the ROM (like the remote control one)
I personally reccomend you to get a bluetooth model, even if you do not have other bluetooth equipments now, because the price for a separate bluetooth option is bigger than the difference. You then will be able to use it for network connection, activesync, GSM connection (bluetooth enabled phones), printers, etc.

BR,
Dan
P.S. Go for the 3980 model... everything inside and an incredible bright display.

  Subject: [ukha_d] IPAQ QUESTION

I was was thinking of getting an IPAQ and in view of the current
carphone warehouse should i get the 3870 or go for a 3950 with its
  integrated universal remote control ?
I the remote control any good or should i be going for the 3870 and buy
an add on from laser for the remote control stuff ?
I can't find any info on the remote control features and I don't have
any bluetooth devices at the moment so would probably fit a wireless
  card anyway.

  Thanks
  Martin
