Yes - you press the Record button on the tivo remote, thus closing a contac= t
on said remote and firing an IR signal to the TiVo itself, causing it to record!

Now this may seem like a smart-alecy remark, but it's not _just_ that - I'm=
sure you could build or buy an IR interface for a PC for example that will<= BR> output the IR code for the Record function to a stick on emitter on the
front of the TiVo, or your could butcher a TiVo remote to extend the Record=
button contacts to some other location - eg a wallplate with a push button<= BR> on it.....
