Web HA frontends
Finally fitting lighting controls, or at least about to buy them, so
finally trying to find or MAKE a front end for things...
I have the following hardware...
HP 525 with (no network hardware yet)
Fuji 510 with 802.11b
Sony Notebook with 802.11b
Turbonetted Tivo
Cm12 rigged up with main server
X10 bits and pieces.
What I would like is a flexible interface that I could design or at
least alter a little, that is capable of showing status.
I would have thought the first stop to go for a cross platform
interface
would be HTML based, Perhaps serving different pages depending on
client
spec.. (So the Interface looks similar regardless of what you pick up
in
the house)
Q1) Has anyone already done this? Is is actually possible for an html
server to send refreshes out? (for example, displaying caller id on all
screens)
Q2) Has anyone done it on an open and free system?
I'm sure this has been asked and answered before, but I searched and
came back with more than I could wade thru..
TIA
J
