I have many daylight fluros here, both compact and 4 footters.

The thing I have found they do look wrong in is table lamps, and hanging
lamps where you have a big glass bulb around the lamp. In recessed
downlights and on the ceiling type holders they make everything look
like it does in daytime. I have the horrid orange worse then incandecent
ones in the table lamps where they are not the primary source of light.
Overall the 2 seem to be about right.

When they say daylight, its not sunlight colour, its the effect you get
on an overcast day.
