The whole point of a PVR is that it is a PVR! Personal Video Recorder.
You can archive off to VHS, no problem from TiVo and I dare say there
is
some clever ad hoc way that you could output the signal from that SCART
and
get it into a PC for VCD or whatever but that's not really the point of
it
all. Anyway I know of, maybe, two people who have the facility to watch
a
VCD on a TV, or would have the inclination to do so, so IMO that's a
non-starter. Anyone that asks "can you record xxxxx" for me 100%
of the time
wants it on VHS so I do not understand where you are going with that
Amar.
What I do at the moment if this happens is get TiVo to record the show,
then
get it do to it's funky archive to VHS routine...sorted! :-D

i am not putting down tivo at all but i have questions as to use.
what happens if you record a program and then want to share it
with someone. how do you give them copy ?
what happens in the following in the following well know situations
A friends asks, "can you please record eastenders for me i
forgot to set my
video"
Am i right in thinking you cannot share programmes recorded unless you
copy
over
to ARGH vhs ?
