That’s what I thought, I installed SS and looked at it (but I already had TiVo at that point) thought it was pants and didn’t look at it again!

 

TiVo is a whole world away from SS on functionality and quality IMO and I think you can get that vibe coming through >from are using now! ;-)

Like Mark I ran SS for months, I loved it. Ok I had a few problems, it crashed a couple of times but most of the time it worked. Then came the TiVo, its just in a different league, it does not just work its a milestone product. IMHO its one of the few really sorted bits of Home Auto stuff, its hard to think whats wrong with it !

 

If I had to give things away it would be one of the last things to give up.

I think I'm qualfied to answer this, I built a PC just to use for SS and ran it for months.  However, as has been well documented by a certain Scotish bloke, I'm afraid there is simple no comparrison between the two systems.  TiVo every time.
