These flat panel NXT speakers are what I had in mind for dotting 
around the house.

I had a quick look on RicherSounds.com but they appear to have a 
funky pattern on the front.

What I remember when these flat panel thingies first appeared 
was a very discreet/small cloth covered rectangle with a curvy 
base that suited top corner mounting in rooms IIRC.

That's what I'm after now I think - for distributed audio and 
automated announcements of varying things that I have in mind 
(there is HA content in here, oh yes!).
