Alternatively (and probably safer) I might build a minature pyramid type
transmitter to just fix on the business end. Saves risking the pronto..

I'm planning to add a small rf transmitter, so pyramid receivers and ha pc
can pick up commands from pronto wherever I am in the house/garden without
the need to run ir cables around the house (or putting pyramid transmitters
everywhere).
