    Just one point Justin - from the description it implies that data is constantly being sent out the serial port - this can be quite wasteful but possibly OK depending on your set-up.
    Often these type of devices can be set up so that data is only sent when a change of state occurs on an input e.g. the analogue value changing or a digital input changing state. This would probably be more useful to Homeseer as it has to spend a lot less time decoding the data.

The data sheet says all inputs should be tied low with a 4.7K resistor. What
does that mean?
