Hi,

Anyone know where I can get hold of one 2 gang brushed steel RPP
faceplate?
I tried B&Q Croydon where I bought all my single plates and RJ45
modules a few years back, but all they seemed to have now was a few
patch leads.

Despite past experience with them, I asked an employee in the
electrical aisle where they used to reside (I asked them, should I
say, after I got over the surprise of actually finding an employee
there!) about said modules and got the all-too-familiar blank stare.

After a short pause, he managed to come up with 'you need to ask the
guy who works in this aisle about that'.
I pointed out that he was in the aisle and was, apparently, working
but unfazed by this, he explained that he meant the _other_ guy who
worked the aisle who was 'on a tea break'.

In true helpful B&Q style, the singularly refrained from offering any
further assistance/offering to go ask the guy on tea break/go ask
someone else.

In desparation, I mentioned that B&Q were doing a whole range of
networking equipment - patch panels etc (maybe under 'security' I
offered as that's where X10 stuff lives (obviously!?)) in the hope
that there was a section of the store I didn't know about that might
house such items, and could only elicit the response 'Oh, B&Q have
changed some ranges twice this year'.

That was it.  Customer Service at it's best :(

Sorry for the rant - anyway, that's why I'm looking for a 2 gang
faceplate.

cheers,

Tony
