RE: member's locations

Just been an item on Look East about the lack of ADSL/Broadband in East
Anglia.

Featured a guy who runs a software company and lives in the shadow of
Adastral Park where I work and where a lot of ADSL development is/was
carried out.

He said "it wouldnt cost BT much to cable to my house" DUH!!!!
He already has a cable to his house, he just needs the exchange enabling.
what thay didnt point out in the item was that most of the 6000 people who
work there cant get ADSL either including some people who work on its
development during the day :-(

I am getting more hopeful as Great Yarmouth is "due for review in June" and
the next exchange down the road will be enabled by the end of the month.

Cable isnt an option either as there is currently no Cable Broadband in
Norfolk.

At least you are south of the border as living up here in Scotland makes
most of us no chance of getting ADSL in the next century. I am in
Rothienorman, Aberdeenshire and the BT man laughed for weeks when I asked
never mind hours... :o)
