Thanks for the replies guys.

I did a bit of digging about last night and found a UK weather script
on the US HomeSeer site.
It didn't work for me so I took it apart and put it back together
again. :o)

First bit of programming I've done in about 8 years and now I have a
comprehensive 24 hour weather forecast from the BBC in text and voice.

I'd like to say I'm proud of myself but I'm bloody knackerd having
been up half the night coding - but it was fun (I think)...

Anyway I've added to the Files section of this group if anyone wants
to have a look / amend it for their own use.

PS. Mark, yip - I'm in Jordanstown but wouldn't really call me fully
automated yet with only one set of automatic curtains, a few lights
and a few appliances controlled controlled by X10 - but I have big
dreams for the future..!
