Tim makes a good suggestion.

Two further alternatives, which might save you the cost of registering the forms with the court is as follows:

1:

- Go to the court

- Get blank forms

- Fill them in

- Photocopy them

- Send the COPIES to the firm with a covering letter saying that unless you receive a full refund in the next seven days, you will lodge these with the court.

- If you don't hear from them seven days later, lodge them....

2: See if your LOCAL BBC radio station has a consumer affairs programme. Give them details, and they may investigate on your behalf. Certainly, most firms respond well to the "Hello - this is the Consumer Affairs department of BBC radio XXX - we're going to air details of YYY, but wanted to give you the opportunity to respond first" ;-)

Rather than go to the expense of a solicitor (it will likely cost you more than the value of the bed), go to a legal stationer, and get the relevant forms for application to the small claims court.

Lodge them, and the firm is obliged to respond.

Can anyone recommend a good solicitor for consumer related disputes.

I bought a bed and mattress and they are both poor quality even though

They have replaced like 5 times. I want a refund and the company is not

Responding.
